Following a busy 2017 (including a 10-gigs-in-one-day jaunt to raise money for the Forward 4 Wiz Trust) and ahead of a short European tour with Parachute for Gordo, Spectral Nights favorite and regular contributor Joe Booley has unveiled ‘Movements III’ – the first track from his upcoming ‘Movements’ EP.
Coming out on cassette and 12″ vinyl via Beth Shalom Records on 23 March, this song will be the centrepiece of an EP where every song is interwoven and tells part of a story. After a carefully considered opening few notes, it combines haunting Julien Baker guitar work that evolve into a full-band post-rock crescendo, all while Joe laments fate making its choice and opens his heart about an ever-glowing love that may no longer be reciprocated. It’s an evocative and emotional introduction to what’s sure to be a powerful EP.
