This past Saturday my sister business ProsperRochester, Inc had the first ever Pre-RocSoup Business Seminar at the Phillis Wheatley Library. This seminar was a pre-cursor to the upcoming soon to be announced second RocSoup community micro funding event in the Fall. The seminar was tailored to community entrepreneurs and individuals interested in starting their own businesses.

I had the pleasure of being one of the featured business speakers. My presentation was titled:

10 Do’s and Don’ts for Writing The Best (Business) Resume Ever

I will be hosting a live webinar of this presentation this Wednesday June 22, 2016 from 6:30-7:30 PM EST online. Click here to join.

Additional guest speakers included:

  • Matt Rollins of Five Star Bank presented on Business Plans
  • and Kayla Jenkins of Pathstone Enterprise Center on presenting a Business Proposal both formally an informally.

There was about 12 participants for this free seminar all of who were engaging and very invested in the seminar and demonstrations. For a first time event, we were extremely proud of the turn out and level of participation.

Below is a message from ProsperRochester’s Executive Director, Eleanor Coleman:
