Spoiler alert: you probably won’t feel like you’re at the end of the world at Praia do Cabo do Mundo. It’s near industry. There are bars on the beach, it’s next to a road, there are houses on the other side of the road.
But if you stand on the boardwalk and face out to the dunes and the ocean, it’s easy to block out the world.
Saturday was my first time at this dramatically-named beach, which sounds a little outrageous considering how close I live. But the coastline of Portugal is such that you could spend a lifetime exploring it and still feel a sense of mystery, especially with temperamental skies like we had on Saturday.
