Practical Magic by @ahoffmanwriter

By Pamelascott

As children, sisters Gillian and Sally were forever outsiders in their small New England town, teased, taunted and shunned for the air of magic that seems to sparkle in the air around them. All Gillian and Sally ever wanted was to get away.

And eventually they do - one marries, the other runs as far from home as she can manage.

Years later, however, tragedy will bring the sisters back together. And they'll find that no matter what else may happen, they'll always have each other.

I loved this book, absolutely adored it, 100%. This is a given of course and did not surprise me. I've seen the movie starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock dozens of times. It's one of my favourite movies. I've also read and loved the prequel, The Rules of Magic. Of course I was going to love this. I'm pleased to say I wasn't disappointed at all. The book is very close to the movie so as I was reading I could hear Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock speaking in my head. This is a true delight. The book is a blend of murder mystery, suspense, family drama with a dose of magic thrown in. What's not to love?
