The planting design for this park was carried out by the Dutch plants man Piet Oudolf, a person renowned for his prairie type planting schemes. The planting is mainly a combination of herbaceous and grass planting. The dead and dying stems and seed heads are allowed to remain during the autumn months to provide additional interest.
