Another Halloween has come and gone. It's kind of sad that I only have one child who's still into dressing up, going to parties, and trick-or-treating. I need to enjoy it while it lasts.
But seriously ... how cute is she?
I spent Halloween night catching up on work and eating my weight in chocolate. It's a sad -- and frightening -- state of affairs when PMS and Halloween land at the same time of the month. :-/
Some post-Halloween business. The awesome ladies at the Estella Society wrapped up the Dueling Monsters event. Stop by and check it out! Patrick Bateman kicked serious ass, and he should be coming up to accept his Ultimate Psycho Award as we speak. But he needs to make reservations at Dorsia, and then he has to return some videos.
Nick wrapped up his The Most F**ked Up Movies We've Ever Seen Blogathon. You know you don't want to miss tha!. Compared to other intrepid viewers, I am definitely a wimp. But I give myself credit for making it through the novel American Psycho. :-)
And I am belatedly announcing the winner of the drawing for a $15 gift card, which was part of the review of American Psycho I posted as part of Banned Books Week.
After considering all the technological tools available to me, I decided to go old-school and draw a name out of a hat. Literally.

My Penis & Everyone Else's -- An unusual and interesting documentary. According to the promo: "My Penis And Everyone Else’s challenges society’s stereotypes of masculinity as well as getting to the heart of why men are so fixated with their members. "I do think pornography and the way it seeped into culture has had some effect because it’s so saturated, it’s so become a norm that people are seeing sex and their bodies through a completely distorted lens.” - Rowan Peeling, Former Editor of the Erotic Review. " I received an apt and funny comment from a reader who thought porn shouldn't be blamed for these issues with self-image when it gets such a bad rap already. ;-)
Rosemary's Baby -- I saw this again, after many years, and found it benefited greatly from a second viewing.
Traffic -- I thoroughly enjoyed watching and reviewing this movie. It was right up my proverbial alley.
