Porto From Clérigos Tower

I checked another item off the 2016 list today: I went up the 240 steps to the top of Clérigos Tower (76m). I was planning to visit only the tower today, but in the end I spent two hours between the tower, exhibits, and the church.

For a €3 entrance fee, it is excellent value. You can view the church on several levels, and it is impressive in its own right. (Photos forthcoming, this is just a preview.) The renovations took place in 2013/2014 and Clérigos reopened on December 12, 2014. It’s taken me over a year to visit, but I’m glad I finally did!

I shot a video clip at the top that’s 2 minutes long; I had to keep pausing because there are columns all the way around.
