Porsche Announces Its First Step Into Web3

Lutz Meschke, Deputy Chairman and Member of the Executive Board for Finance and IT, says that this project is an extra part of our plan to digitize. We’ve made a long-term commitment, and our Web3 team is free to also try to make progress in this area. The buying process, the metaverse, and the supply chain are all places where Porsche’s management of innovation sees opportunities. Problems with vehicles and the environment are also being looked into.”

One-of-a-kind digital artworks

Patrick Vogel, a designer and 3D artist who lives in Hamburg, is in charge of Porsche’s newest digital art project. In his studio, ALT/SHIFT, the former architect is making an amazing visual language for several apps. He makes digital portraits for Porsche that center on a white Porsche 911.

Buyers can have a say in how their NFTs are made through a collaborative and immersive experience that lasts several months. To do this, users can choose from three basic Porsche brand themes and put them into their artwork in a way that suits them. The Performance, Heritage, and Lifestyle pathways will have an effect on how digital treasures look and how they act. The owners can then use Unreal Engine 5 to access their personal collectibles in the virtual world.

“The NFT artworks enable us to take our understanding of modern luxury and the unique brand positioning of Porsche into the digital world,” said Detlev von Platen, Executive Board Member for Sales and Marketing. Owners of Porsches with NFT have access to special virtual and real-world experiences. For example, digital pioneers can join Porsche’s journey into the world of Web3 right away and talk with the brand.

Beginning in January 2023, people who want to buy digital collector’s items will have access to a total of 7,500 unique items. As usual in the Web3 environment, it is possible to sign up for an Allowlist ahead of time. There is a limit of three NFTs per person that can be bought.

The new virtual brand presentation for Porsche highlights the company’s legendary status and turns the mesmerizing appeal of its sports cars into highly sought-after digital objects. As buyers have come to expect from Porsche, the NFT is rare, well-known, and timeless.

The Web3 plan for Porsche is about more than just digital art. The company that makes sports cars wants to use what blockchain technology can do to improve current and future processes and solutions. The partnership covers a wide range of fields and is currently supported by subsidiaries like Porsche Digital and MHP, as well as important business partners like UP. Labs and NFT. Distribution is handled by Road2dreams GmbH, a new company created by our partner Fanzone.

The Art of Dreams in Miami is a real-life example of digital art

An amazing physical art experience is the last part of Porsche’s brand presentation in Miami. The installation by digital artist Chris Labrooy on the beach of the Pérez Art Museum Miami is the first time Porsche’s “The Art of Dreams” campaign has come to America. The larger-than-life figure, called “Dream big.,” honors childhood dreams and asks people to think about things like, “Are we following our dreams?” Where are our dreams going to take us?

A white Porsche 911 is a part of the installation by Labrooy. The sports car is a link between digital and real things, and it is at the center of everything that Porsche will show at Art Basel in Miami, both in the real world and digitally.
