Story: Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping starts as a former boyband member Conner (Samberg) is about to release his second album. The first reviews for the work are terrible, leaving Conner worried about the success of the album.
As Conner struggles with the negative reaction, he continues to search for a solution. This only makes things worse until he needs to return to his original bandmates to regroup.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is a comedy that is shot like a mockumentary. This explores the desperation for a pop star to remain popular within the music, despite realising a highly criticised album.
When we look at comedy, most of it is a miss, despite it trying hard to poke fun at the modern pop world. Everything feels flat or deliberately insulting. There is a weak redemption story, but it never feels like it is heartfelt, which I guess is how many people see celebrities.
Final Thoughts – Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is a flat comedy with few laughs.
