Polished Nails

By Britishcouture

Now, what girl doesn't like having her nails looking prim and proper? I strongly believe that you can achieve a nail parlour polished to perfection look at home for a fraction of the price.

Barry M 317 in Blue Moon £2.99
Rimmel London 60 Seconds in Caramel Cupcake £3.69
Nails Inc in 131 Charing Cross £11.00
Marks & Spencer Nail Colour in Mauve £5.00
Barry M 291 in Cobalt Blue £2.99
Barry M 290 in Spring Green £2.99
These are just a few of my personal favorites taken from my enormous nail polish collection. I go through phases of wanting pastel colours, to neutrals, to big bold colours, and I have to honestly say, I do apply base coat and top coat and haven't yet found a nail polish that doesn't chip, not even Nails Inc.
Barry M 305 in Pink Flamingo & 317 Blue MoonI am a big Barry M lover when it comes to bright bold colours and for £2.99 it's just silly to buy only one. The Pink Flamingo and Blue Moon were bought for me by the girls. The Pink flamingo is perfect if you want to throw on a simple color that's not too bright, but that also has the ability to go with pretty much anything you wear.

Rimmel London 60 Seconds in Caramel CupcakeNeutrals are perfect at any time of year on any person, whether it be the classic french manicure or a nude color. The Caramel Cupcake by Rimmel is my favorite shade of pale brown. Others in the past have been too dark, but this is just perfect. And what can be better than a polish that dries in 60 seconds. Nails Inc in 131 Charing CrossEveryone must have that one bright red nail polish. It should be a crime if you don't own one. This nails inc one was given to me as a gift along with several other colours. This red is bright, bold and shiny, however with a price tag of £11.00 I am sure there are some other great red nail polishes out there. Check out their new Autumn/Winter collection at the Nails Inc website here
Marks and Spencer Nail Colour in MauveMarks and Spencer have some great colours too, I picked up this mauve which looks great on, £5.00 isn't too much out of your bank account if your looking for some individual colours.

Barry M 291 in Cobalt Blue & 290 in Spring GreenI'll save the best till last, particularly the bright green. I'm a sucker for blue and green nail polish, if it's the correct shade, and these two from Barry M for £2.99 were right up my street. The Spring Green looks great if your wearing neutrals or blacks as it injects so much color even if its just on the ends of your fingers. Another of my favorites when it comes to polished nails is nail wraps. I originally began with the Leopard Print Nails Inc wraps which were incredibly easy to apply and seemed to last forever. Below are Nail Rock Designer Nail Wraps which have some amazing designs if your looking to stand out from the crowd.
