The Cinnamon Gardens Police yesterday informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court that investigations have been initiated to arrest another two suspects who had recently stormed into the national television channel, Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) and forcibly appeared on a live programme. Filing a motion before Court, the Police informed the Magistrate that a suspect wanted in connection with this incident has been remanded in connection with another case by the Fort Magistrate’s Court.

The Police requested the Magistrate to issue an order directing the Prisons Authority to produce the suspect before Court in connection with this incident.

According to the CCTV footage, four individuals including Roshan Danish Ali and Chaminda Kalum Priyashantha have been identified as the protesters who had forcibly entered the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC).

The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court had earlier issued a travel ban on Roshan Danish Ali and Chaminda Kelum Priya Amarasinghe.

The Police pleaded to issue a travel ban on Roshan Danish Ali, Chaminda Kelum Priya Amarasinghe and another suspect.
