Police has sought the assistance of the public to identify several suspects involved in the assault on 26 Security Force and Police personnel, damaging public property and stealing two weapons and ammunition from two soldiers during the protest at the Polduwa Roundabout on July 14.
Investigations are currently underway by the Welikada Police and Southern Range Crime Division. Accordingly, having analyzed CCTV footage, the Police have identified several protesters behaving violently and seeking public assistance in establishing their identity.
