Colombo Additional Magistrate Shalini Perera yesterday directed the case filed by Police to remove the obstructions opposite the Presidential Secretariat in Galle face, be taken up before the Colombo Chief Magistrate on May 10.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawela refused from hearing this case due to the jurisdiction.
State Counsel Shavindra Wickrama appearing on behalf of the Attorney General stated that if Court is prepared to consider the request he is ready to submit it before the Court.
President’s Counsel Saliya Peiris appearing on behalf of the protesters raised objections towards the request made by the police.
