The Past Pupils’ Association of the Rakwana Rathnaloka National School have lodged a complaint with Rakwana Police
against two singers Dimanka Wellalage and Sandun Perera for failing to turn up at a musical show held in Rakwana town in view of the New Year without giving prior notice.
The musical show was held following a cricket tournament with a popular band in Sri Lanka, and among all artistes Sadun Perera and Dimanka Wellalage have not participated in this concert.
The organizing committee had made an advanced payment on April 1 and confirmed the singer’s participation in the concert. Later the organizing committee confirmed it again by calling the artistes.
There were a huge crowd for the show in Rathnaloka school grounds, and people blamed on organizing committee on the absence of the two artistes.
