In case you haven’t heard, Sony’s new Playstation 4 is kind of a big deal. To celebrate the launch, Manning Gottlieb OMD, Curb Media and Talon Outdoor collaborated to transform London’s iconic OXO Tower into the O-X-Square-Triangle Tower (the button symbols on the Playstation’s controller).

No clever copy. No imagery. No logo. Just a giant shining beacon of the next generation of video game consoles. It’s not just a new tech product. It’s a world-changing event. At least that’s what this stunt makes it feel like. You couldn’t buy enough traditional media to make the kind of statement this rebranding of a local icon makes.
