I always thought that the platypus was a pretty cool animal. I even wanted one as a pet when I was a kid. Then I grew up and realized that they can kill us.
See, this cute beaver-duck combo has poisonous spikes that inject a highly toxic venom. This video (just under 4 minutes in length) posted by National Geographic on December 21, 2007 provides a quick, yet detailed, study of the platypus:
Yeah... I don't find the platypus as being so cuddly anymore...
