One of my all-time favorite London plaques. The story behind it? I'd be a liar if I told you one. All I have is my own, fanciful idea of Mr Trude and his ways and means. I picture him as a latter day Ratty from Wind In The Willows, shabby genteel, perhaps irascible, but good company when he got going.
That's why I love this plaque. You can make up a story for yourself.
