I'm taking a wee bit of a liberty here in reversing the order of billing on this plaque, but given that McCartney already has a knighthood and countless other gongs, I'm sure he won't mind.
Linda Eastman's first assignment as a photographer was for Town & Country magazine when she was given exclusive access to a Rolling Stones press launch - not a bad first gig. She went on to shoot Hendrix, Neil Young, Dylan, The Doors and many others through her association with the famous Fillmore East venue in NYC in the mid-to-late 60s.
A lifelong vegetarian activist, she married Paul McCartney in London in 1969. The pair met at the Bag O'Nails club in Kingly street where you can find this plaque…
