Menswear legend John Stephen in Carnaby Street…
Scots-born menswear guru John Stephen revolutionised not only fashion for men but Carnaby Street itself. An unheralded backwater before Stephen (a former welder’s apprentice) opened his numerous shops there, he is the man responsible for Carnaby Street’s position center stage in the mythology of Swinging London and for first importing Levi's to this country.
