David Sutch (1940 – 1999) – the self-styled Screaming Lord Sutch, 3rd Earl of Harrow – was leader of the Monster Raving Loony Party and holds a British political record in having lost all 40 elections in which he stood.

In 1963, billed as Screaming Lord Sutch and the Savages, he released Jack the Ripper on the Decca label, a garage rock classic which has since been covered by The Horrors and The White Stripes, among others.
