Since I am the absolute queen of boring outfits...I have made it a personal goal of mine to try to add one "out of the box" piece to every outfit I wear. In this case, I added a jeweled and printed belt. Other things I have tried: if I wear mostly black out at night I'll add a pop of a bright colored purse or pumps, or with neutral colored outfits wearing a colorful blazer.
