As the week or so before winter break comes around, the question that you hear going around remains consistent; "what are you doing over break?" And for those that I replied :Paris", I almost immediately got a response along the lines of, "Ahhh! Christmas in Paris is so wonderful!" Growing up, I regularly went to New York during this time of the year to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall and the oh-so ginormous tree in Rockefeller Center, but never Paris. Upon my car ride to the hotel from the train station, I could immediately see the Christmas cheer across Paris, with lights + trees across every street and mini donut covered christmas trees. Paris took the lights and decorations on a whole new level in comparison to that of Rennes. Our hotel is located just off of Rue de Rivoli, right near the Place Vendôme. If you've never been to Paris, there are tons of giant areas that are actually undercover streets, and this is one of them. As you can tell, it is looming more with tourists snapping pictures than cars. This area is outfitted with high-end watch stores, and right now, there are also tons of trees-  large ones more central and "smaller" ones along the edge of the shops. While the trees are definitely pretty to see during the day, at night the lights go on and the city comes alive. Get it? City of lights? No? Okay, well I guess I'll just stop there. Anyway, let's get to the outfit aspect of this post. This is another dress that I got for the "holiday parties" that I never went to....Actually, I did wear it on a Christmas Day river cruise along the Seine with my mom and sister, if that counts. In addition, I also recently bought this jacket for a nicer alternative to my run down army jacket to wear for nicer occasions. But all in all, my favorite detail of this simple yet festive outfit has to be my new purse baby from Balenciaga! Santa, ya did well this year. If you were wondering, I got the Classic City in Black. Hope you guys enjoyed this post! What have you been loving for holiday attire? xoxo
