1. Google Pixel 5 pricing
The leaks for Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 are now occurring quickly and tightly. The reveal event is a week away tomorrow.
- Information was released yesterday from telecom lists showing that the Pixel 5 and 4a 5G have 128GB of storage.
- And today's leak is adding colors - the Pixel 4a 5G will come in black and white, while the Pixel 5 will come in black and white.
More important, however, is pricing, and European sticker prices may have just surfaced via trusted journalist Roland Quandt.
- So we already know that Google has announced prices for its 5G smartphones starting at 499 euros in Europe and 499 US dollars in the US.
- Quandt confirmed this: The Google Pixel 4a 5G will be launched in Europe for 499 euros.
- What we didn't know, however, is the price range for the Pixel 5, and the new information is that the Pixel 5 will supposedly start at $ 629.
- Given the € 1 = $ 1 (excluding US sales tax) prices offered by Google in recent cases, this means that in just over a week the Pixel 5 will be touted at $ 629, or at least very close to that brand or take.
- What you get from both the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 isn't just 5G. Both should have a faster processor, larger devices also mean a larger battery (although 5G power needs could make up for that).
Google's Pixel unveiling event, along with the expected unveiling of the already-teased new smart speaker and new Chromecast, is set for September 30th at 2:00 p.m. (CET).
