Pink Velvet Strawberry Shortcakes Cupcakes

I baked some pretty cupcakes over the weekend using Driscoll's strawberries and Duncan Hines Pink Velvet cake mix.

First, I went to Whole Foods to get the strawberries. I also got blueberries, blue cheese and roasted garlic.
I used Pink Velvet cake mix from Duncan Hines. I added a little vanilla extract and a little Sprite.
 I topped with strawberries that I cooked with a 1/4 cup sugar and less than 1/4 teaspoon of  cinnamon. Since there was fresh watermelon in the fridge, I add a few pieces for color. The cupcakes are SO good. I would make them again.
