Pink is the Colour…

By Decorque

Now summer is officially here (well except a bit of rain at the weekend!), the garden is full of roses in full bloom they just love this sunny dry weather. They look and smell so good when there is no wind or rain to ruin their amazing show of color.

These are a selection of roses I have photographed in the garden just in the last week or so, what a variety of colour, structure and sheer beauty. You can probably spot the odd one out, taken from a floral display at the Chelsea Flower Show last year as it has perfect form!

Therefore, my product review it has to be on our ‘Pink Skin Heaven’ design from Decorque’s Classic range on cork. The wonderful versatile cork takes color well and portrays the rose design in a subtle way. Being digitally printed the detail between the hand drawn and photographic roses is clear whilst keeping the softness of the skin print natural and the crispness of the buttons.

We do a rectangular placemat and a square one for larger tables with matching coasters. Soon you will be able to shop by color on our website, as we do this design in three other colours.

All our cork products are 8mm thick with curved sanded edges. This eco-friendly material is heat resistant, non-scratch to polished surfaces and light which makes it a great purchase, if you need that unique present to sent by post.

Primarily designing for fashion, I love mixing, digital, hand painted and decorative items, in this case buttons a mix of pink enamel buttons to coordinate with the roses and larger brown buttons to mix with the skin print.

As with all our designs the colours and themes carry on through the range, a plastic placemat which is great for outdoor dining, on to our art prints, cards and gift tags.

Looking around there is so much pink, and roses have that very English look,
whether bright, soft pastel or vintage there is plenty to choose from.
