Pilatus PC-7

Pilatus PC-7@San Carlos Airport, CA

April 2018

This uncommon privately owned, Swiss-manufactured, ex-military trainer was spotted landing at San Carlos Airport (SQL) so I hung around for a short while to catch the takeoff.  This aircraft has been selected by more than 20 air forces as their primary trainer. Since the aircraft’s introduction in 1978, close to 500 have been sold, with the majority still in service. Over one million hours have been flown by PC-7s worldwide.  Nikon D500 w/18-200mm.
