After much rumors and speculation of BET’s 106 & Park’s host snagging the role of Aaliyah in the Lifetime Biopic, we can finally put those rumors to rest. Lifetime has appointed Disney Channel Star Zendaya Coleman the lead role in “Aaliyah: Princess of R&B.” The biopic will detail the very beginning of her career with her debut on Star Search to her rise to her fame and, the tragic ending. Lifetime has set to a date to air the movie on August 25th!
