PM Benjamin Netanyahu visited the matza factory of Kfar Chabad and made some matza... he noted (as noted on his FB page with a short video vclip) "He noted, "In every generation enemies rise up to destroy us but G-d saves us from them. I am very excited. I wish the entire Jewish People a Happy Passover"
The visit to Kfar Chabad has raised the ire of some in the haredi community. Thye are upset that Chabad agreed to host him, when he is doing so much against the haredi community, between budget cuts and the draft law. I even saw a comment that how dare Netanyahu go make "lechem oni" - poor mans bread - when he is responsible for sending so many haredi children below the poverty line... Some askanim are upset and are considering Chabad to have sold them out by embracing Netanyahu at this time.
Chabad has reportedly responded that their way is not one of of bans and boycotts, but the way they approach each Jew and try to affect him is by strengthening contact with them and working with them.
Funny that the haredi community is so upset at Chabad, as if they suddenly consider Chabad part of their camp. You can regularly hear comments that chabadniks are not really haredim, Chabad has been attacked by a significant portion of the haredi community for the type of work they do and for their meshichist factions...
