this was posted on Twitter by a number of people with an explanation that these hassidic kids had a carnival and to make sure their event would not be broken up by the police (for breaking corona regulations), they posted a sign declaring "Justice for George Floyd" which would cause the police to ignore them.
as cute as it is and as much as I like a good gemara-kopp quip as the next guy, corona doesnt care about any of this. We dont take precautions because the African Americans do, and when they stop we can as well. We social distance because there is a danger around and we dont want to spread it or catch it. No matter how witty you are in finding a way to get around the rules, corona doesnt care about your wit. Just because other people do not keep to the rules, the rules that are in place to protect us, does not mean we shouldn't.
