Legendary actress, Alfre Woodard held her 9th annual Oscar Sistahs Soiree on Wednesday in L.A.

The Soiree held at the Beverly Wilshire brought out Jada Pinkett Smith, Mary J. Blige, Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Nia Long, Loretta Devine, Edwina Finley, Janelle Monae, Margaret Avery, and a host of other Black women in Hollywood.

In partnership with Morgan Stanley, Woodard celebrates all the women of color who’ve ever been nominated for an acting Oscar — “and those, who in a perfect world, should have been,” she’s famously said.

In the above photo, event host Alfre Woodard, and Loretta Devine pose with Mary J. Blige, who is not only up for two Oscars, but will perform her Oscar nominated song “Mighty River” from Mudbound, at Sunday’s 90th annual Academy Awards.
