I'd never heard of the poet before so I didn't know what to expect from this collection. I enjoyed every poem in this collection. Collins was a U.S. Poet Laureate and I can see why judging from the quality of the poems on offer here. Collins knows how to tell a story or spin a yarn; he can hook you and pull you right along with him. The poems found here are vivid and turn the ordinary into something quite special. I found every word a pleasure. Now I have another new poet to obsess over.
