Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is not a role-playing game, but it still includes an evolving skill system that allows protagonist Cal to become more powerful and learn new abilities. Mastering the skills you learn is critical to your success, especially when it comes to later bosses in the game. In order to complete your mission, you will need to know which skills to choose, as a standard game Probably will not include all available unlocked skills. With that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order skills guide, we'll walk you through the process and tell you which skills you need to focus on.

Below we have the best skills for Lightsaber, Survival, and Strength trees, as well as all the abilities available in those trees. Note that you won't be able to see all the skills right away - around ten are displayed at the start of the game. Later skills will unlock as you progress through the story.

How to learn new skills

You can only unlock new skills in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order while at a meditation point, which are the "bonfires" of the game and are located quite generously on each planet. Once you locate one, you can spend all available skill points to purchase new skills.

You will not have access to all the skills from the start. Keep playing through the story and you'll have access to abilities at pre-planned points. Your skill tree often grows larger once you reach these points, drastically changing your available moves and attacks.

Skill Points are earned through almost everything you do in the game, including defeating enemies and locating collectibles. Don't worry about "cultivating" the points, because you'll have a lot to work on. If you are killed, your progress to your next skill point will be reset, but you can recover it by damaging the enemy that killed you or returning to your kill point if you were killed by an environmental hazard.

The best skill in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Lightsaber

Overhead Slash and Leaping Slash (1 point and 2 points, respectively): Overhead Slash is a powerful lightsaber strike that can instantly kill weaker enemies and deal massive damage to bosses. Leaping Slash adds a second attack at the end of the combo, which can deal bonus damage after breaking their block meter with the previous attack.

Dash Strike and Improved Dash (1 point each): Quickly reduce distance to an enemy and perform a powerful slash with Dash Strike. You can jump at the end of the dash to jump over the enemy as you attack. Improving Dash increases the range of the attack.

Sprint strike (1 point): Attack as you sprint to perform a powerful unique lightsaber strike. This is a good option if you're out of Force power and still need to close the gap with a boss in a hurry.

Evasive kick (1 point): Perform a quick kick on your enemy after escaping an attack. This move is especially useful after dodging an unstoppable attack from a boss - you'll be able to tell as they'll start to glow red.

Lightsaber Mastery (3 points): Increases all lightsaber damage. Against endgame bosses, the difference this makes can mean victory over death, and will limit your need to use additional Stim Healing items in combat.

Survival

Survival Skills, Enhanced Survival Skills, and Expert Survival Skills (1 point, 1 point, and 2 points, respectively): These increase Cal's maximum lifespan. You will need to unlock the first level before moving on to the next. This isn't the only way to increase your total lifespan - you can find special power-up secrets in-game as well - but it's pretty much necessary to defeat subsequent bosses.

Improved Stims and Custom Stims (1 point and 2 points): These enhance the healing power of individual Stim canisters. At the start of the game, they only heal halfway, and their effectiveness will appear weaker as you gain overall health. Upgrade your Stims ASAP.

Upper blocking (1 point): This allows Cal to block more attacks before his guard breaks. Against bosses and enemies with very small parry windows, as well as ranged enemies, this will be extremely useful.

Agile deviation (1 point): This automatically blocks blaster lightning bolts every time Cal sprints, allowing you to focus on your primary target without worrying about nearby Stormtroopers right away.

Precision Evasion (2 points): You can briefly slow enemies and regain Force after performing Precision Evasion. This is ideal for charging your Strength gauge against bigger bosses with unstoppable attacks.

Force

Force Harmonization, Superior Force Harmonization, and Ultimate Force Harmonization (1 point, 1 point, and 2 points, respectively): This skill increases Cal's maximum strength and is used not only for classic abilities like Force Push and Force Pull, but also for some powerful lightsaber strikes. You'll want it to be fully upgraded before it ends, as some of your endgame attacks take a ton of Force and are reliable at dealing massive boss damage.

Mass Thrust and Howling Thrust (1 point and 2 points): Hold the Force Push button to send multiple enemies back and even swing larger enemies. When you face Stormtroopers on a ledge, you can use it to take them all out instantly. Against bosses, you'll want to be more careful when trying it out, but it can help take down weaker enemies before facing large targets.

Improved force recovery (1 point): This allows you to regain more Strength when defeating an enemy and regain some Strength after hitting a blocking enemy. This is one of the most important skills for taking on bosses, as you will need to maintain your Strength gauge to possibly break their guard.
