So this is one of those rare times (so rare, in fact, that I’ve only done one of these posts previously) where I don’t have anything that I have to read right away! No review requests to fulfill, no book-to-movie comparisons that I have to read before I can see the movie.
To make help my goal of making sure this blog stays a two-way communication gab-fest over books, I like to do this “pick-my-next-book” poll whenever I can. Below I’m going to list the books from a variety of genres with a link to their goodreads pages and their cover. Vote in the poll and by the beginning of next week I’ll announce the winner, read it, and review it!
Here are the contenders, straight from my bookshelf:
Nonfiction:
Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman
Horror:
Hollow City (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children #2 by Ransom Riggs)
Contemporary:
Essay Collection:
Stiff by Mary Roach
Science Fiction:
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
Dystopia:
Allegiant by Veronica Roth
And here’s the poll. You control my reading destiny!
