Photos You Requested As My Book Received Booker-Worthen Prize
Posted on the 18 October 2014 by William Lindsey @wdlindsySomeone (I think it may have been you, Mary Q?) asked that I share photos when I received the Booker-Worthen prize this past Thursday. Unfortunately, no photos were taken.
But so I won't leave you entirely in the lurch, and since you asked, I've snapped photos of the front (above) and back of the program (below).
As you'll see, the awards ceremony included awards of two prizes —the Porter Prize and the Booker-Worthen prize. Here's information from the Encyclopedia of Arkansas on the Booker-Worthen, which is the award I received — and feel very honored to have won. I hope this won't be a total bore to all of you. As I've noted previously, I received the award for my book Fiat Flux: The Writings of Wilson R. Bachelor, Nineteenth-Century Country Doctor and Philosopher (Univ. of AR Press, 2013).
