11 miles later: tired (but happy) feet on the Northern Line
DC Editor Adam writes…
Thanks to everyone who joined me today on my Triple Bill of London Walks – three tours in one day!
We pounded the pavement in St Giles, Fleet Street and the City of London and covered everything from Renzo Piano to Lord Beaverbrook via Jack Sheppard to Monty Python; in the company of London Walkers from Germany, Russia, Shoreditch, Austria, Hertfordshire, Finsbury Park, Maine, Melbourne, County Down and Buckinghamshire. From 9:30a.m to 10:30pm I took around 24,000 steps and covered 11.3 miles (18.2 kilometers).
Phew.
I would have looked really daft shouting in the street all on my own all day, so thanks for joining me.
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
