Story: Phantasm starts when one of Jody’s (Thornbury) friends is believed to have killed himself. Jody attends the funeral, while his little brother Mike (Baldwin) watches from the outskirts. However, Mike witnesses a strange event in the aftermath of the funeral.

As the two put their differences aside they start to investigate the truth. However, what they find, they aren’t prepared for as they find themselves battling the Tall Man. It has the ability to overpower anyone that tries to stop it, including the brothers.

Verdict on Phantasm

Phantasm is a horror fantasy taking two brothers into a world where an evil presence takes souls. They must figure out a way to stop evil before it takes them and unleashes a bigger evil in the world.

This is an interesting horror as it plays into the fears people can have around a cemetery. It uses an urban legend of the Tall Man to add extra horror, along with uniquely created creatures for added horror. With strong scares and a unique premise, we get a horror offer that uses plenty of scares along the way.

Final Thoughts Phantasm is a good classic horror with great scares.
