This fence is the basic in-ground fence system. It features 4 adjustable levels of correction that creates an static shock. It also includes a beep only mode for when your pet doesn’t need the actual shock, but just a little reminder.
There is an over stimulation protection feature that will stop the static correction automatically if it has been activated for 30 seconds. There is also an anti-linger prevention feature that automatically gives your pet a quick static shock when they linger in the warning zone for more than 2 seconds.
This system comes with one collar, but you can purchase additional collars if you need to. The nice part is the system is compatible with multiple types of collars. We like this particular system because it works with other PetSafe collars. This means you can mix and match collars for your pet’s needs. Also, this system is capable of accommodating multiple collars. So if you have a lot of dogs, you can just purchase new PetSafe collars.
We also like that this system gives you clear boundaries that are easily defined, which helps in the training process. With a few weeks (at most) of working with your dogs, you’ll be able to show your pup the safe areas.
Should your dog go too close to the correction zone, they will get a brief shock until they back away. If you’re worried that the collar is going to harm your dog, the over correction protection feature will shut off the static stimulation if it is activated for more than 30 seconds.
If you’re looking for an in-ground pet containment fence, we feel that this is one of the better ones available. Not only can you mix and match collars to give your pet the best fit, but the system also comes with a limited lifetime warranty. In our opinion, it’s a pretty good deal!
