Personal Electric Vehicles

By Asianurbanist @AsianUrbanist

The short range of current electric vehicles have prompted designers to turn towards an emerging market for Personal Electric Vehicles (PEVs) targeting the urban commuter who covers short distances. PEVs are halfway between bikes and motorcycles and are generally designed as moped, scooters or offering a maximum speed of 30mph. They are ideal to circulate in congested urban areas. Flexible, compact and light, they are increasingly seen as an answer to escalating fossil fuel costs, adverse environmental impact, traffic and parking congestion.

Below are some of the sexiest PEVs concepts. Some are already available on the market.
