Perfect flowers for your anniversary

When you get married, every week and month will feel like a milestone. After several years, you might become so comfortable with one another that your anniversary nearly slips your mind. Before you know it, you are coming up to 10 or 15 years of marriage and you might not feel quite as inspired when it comes to gift giving. The good news is that fresh flowers always make an excellent gift for anniversaries. No matter how long you have been married, a beautiful bouquet will always send the right message.

If you are not sure what kinds of flowers to send, you'll be happy to know that there are plenty of wonderful options. Red roses are known for being the symbol of romance which is why they are the top choice. Other red flowers are also suitable including carnations and tulips. You can order a bouquet consisting of a single type of red flower or you can opt for a mixed red bouquet instead. With red, you are always sending a message of deep and passionate love.

Pink is another great colour if you want something other than red. Many people choose to send red flowers for Valentine's Day and pink flowers for their anniversary just so that they are different and to keep things interesting.

If you want to take a trip down memory lane, you could provide your florist with some photos of your wedding flowers and have them create a bouquet that includes the same flowers and colours used on your big day. Recreate her bridal bouquet or have a centrepiece made. Set the arrangement on your table before you sit down together to enjoy a delicious and romantic meal together.

Finally, if you know what her favourite flower and/or colour is, you can use this information while shopping for flowers. Just imagine the delight on her face when you present her with a bunch of her favourite blooms! This kind of attention to detail is te perfect way to show that you care.
