Brandon McCafferty, who said he is a friend of the victim, said while visiting the scene of the shooting Thursday morning that the man had a permit to carry a gun and always had a gun in his possession. He said he had heard that the man had a gun in his possession Wednesday night, and that the officers told him to put the gun down before he was shot.I wonder if that information will make it into any of the official statistics we keep hearing about, you know the ones that prove how much safer concealed carry guys are than everybody else?
