Hastily snapped these photos yesterday while out on my weekly sister jaunt with Louise! It was truly beautiful when I got up in the morning to sort out my tortoises (who have a habit of getting up really early on Sundays!), and then my sister and I decided to jump in my car and drive.
Settling on The Waffle House in beautiful St. Albans, we soaked up the sun during a non-London food queue, a wander around the picturesque city and then drove to a local lake for another walk. The early spring days are honestly my favorite and being close to any stretch of water makes me feel completely as ease! Water baby and Pisces at heart.

Onto the outfit! In typical British fashion, once the sun peeked out at us, jackets were hastily thrown into the backseat and T-shirts were out for the taking. I still adore this Uniqlo x L’aduree one that I got last spring - so comfy and cute with little pastel macarons scattered all over. I wore it untucked with a little skater skirt and glitter tipped ballerinas for a laid-back ladylike kinda look and added my Celine Trio for good measure. Still undecided on my choice of jacket; khaki and red is the weirdest color pairing. Yeah, I’m really not sure. But hey, I wore it for about 5 minutes before positively sweltering and requiring to be next-to-naked in the City center. Oops.
I’m SO excited for a more relaxed week after a pretty stressful one last week. Lovin’ the idea of four-day weeks for the next few, er, weeks. (I wish I wasn’t typing this at 23:28 on Sunday night because I really can’t be bothered to edit out the word week…) Roll on a week of tucking myself in bed early with my shiny new tablet and for pretty spring evening walks.
