As part of its 40th anniversary celebration, the UP Repertory Company and the Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts present the action-comedy play “Ped Xing: Tatawid Ka Ba Kahit Nakamamatay?”
Employing a distinct form of theater called “tula-dula”, which is the signature
style of The UP Repertory Company, “Ped Xing: Tatawid Ka Ba Kahit Nakamamatay?” is about five ordinary townsmen who scheme to design the perfect assassination of their town’s mayor. Each of the five is motivated by a particular injustice inflicted on him by the mayor. But their mission will be faced with doubt, intrigue and betrayal. Will these “Avengers” survive?
Show dates are Sept 8, 17, 22 and 24 (3 and 7 p.m.), and Sept 7 and 21 (7 p.m.) at the Aldaba Recital Hall, UP Diliman.
