On a recent trip to Hawaii, we visited the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. From their recently completed control tower, one has a commanding view of the area. One of their main hangars was undergoing some major work which necessitated moving the bulk of their collection outdoors, providing a unique opportunity to photograph the collection from overhead. The Museum’s jet collection ranges from Korean War to relatively modern combat jets like the Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornet. Opened in 2006 as the Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor (renamed Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum in 2019), the collection currently numbers 43 aircraft. This composite photo is a three image mosaic.
