The Peacock TV App has been updated to version 1.3.17.
If you’re using a device running Android TV such as the MECOOL KM3, Chromecast with Google TV, TiVo Stream 4K, or NVIDIA Shield, you should receive an automatic update since it’s available through the Google Play Store. If not, just go into Google Play on your device and update the app.
If you’re using a Firestick, Fire TV, or any Fire TV model for that matter, things are a bit more difficult because the app isn’t available through the Amazon App Store.
Unlike other apps, when an update is eligible for Peacock TV on a Fire TV device it may render the app useless and the only way to fix this is by updating.
Updating sideloaded apps on a Fire TV device is a breeze.
You simply go through the exact same steps as installing and the new version replaces the old one with your settings retained.
