Jaffna Division Criminal Investigation officials on Wednesday arrested a police constable with 120 mg of heroin.
The constable has had close association with a woman who was involved in drug peddling in the area.
Police said that he was arrested at Sivam street in the Kopay police division. He is 24 years old and a resident of Ariyalai.
Police said that he has joined the police service very recently and investigations are on to ascertain whether he was a drug peddler.
