This week on The Daily Constitutional I'm revisiting some step-counting apps. Many of you will be using a step counter app as part of your January fitness regime. I'm out-and-about most days, up on my hind legs leading tours so here are a few road/pavement test results to help when you're trying to find the right app for you…
Do you want a simple, no bells and whistles step counter? I may have found the perfect basic walk app - from the name down, everything about it is simplicity itself. Ladies and gentlemen, roll-up for… Steps.
Steps
Okay, bottom of the class for poetic invention in the name dept, but this app delivers. If all you want is a step counter with absolutely NO whistles and bells, then take a look at this…
How's THAT for minimalism?
You can set the distance to metric or olden days (okay, Imperial if you must call it that) and you check and compare your daily stats with one tap…
There is an option to count calories, too, and this can be unlocked for £1.99 – but if you merely want a step counter as a rough guide to help with exercise goals, this app does everything you need without the calorie function.
Simplicity itself. Five stars ★★★★★.
If you are using a step counting app or pedometer that you'd like to recommend, drop me a line at the usual address.
