Paul Sheehan - Sci-Fi and Music
Whether you are looking for something practical or a bit of trivia about the writers of NCIS or Smallville, chances are that Paul Sheehan would be right at home with you. The entertainment writer's work and the entertaining fan base are large and varied. His list of credits includes six seasons as executive producer on NCIS, which he also worked on during the show's first two seasons.
In addition to his NCIS writing stint, Sheehan also served as the show's executive producer for all of its subsequent seasons, starting in seasons three and culminating in season six. He also penned the NCIS novels and several other novels as well, and has a novel coming out from "Atomic Books."
One of the most interesting aspects of Sheehan's career is his ability to manage a good balance between science fiction and mythology. A number of his works feature concepts that straddle both of these genres, like "The Six-Million-Year-Old Mystery"Nemesis."
"One of the things I admire most about NCIS is the fact that it has managed to keep many of the popular concepts and ideas that have become extinct in other shows," said Sheehan. These include such concepts as ancient warfare, technologically advanced robots, and mythical creatures like dragons and gargoyles.
These characters represent a continuation of the best parts of SF and fantasy he loves about history and mythology. "The dragon, for example, could very easily be considered one of the founding families of the United States," he said.
Paul Sheehan draws upon both genres when he wants to present an interesting story about the evolution of technology and society. For instance, "the idea of the cyborg that goes out into the field to fight the battle was a product of SF," he said. When the military does incorporate the cyborg into its tactical operations, it is following in the footsteps of "one of the most successful SF books ever written."
Sheehan named "Great War" by John Wyndham as one of his favourite SF novels. In this book, a soldier sets out to fight the enemy in a war that has become impossible to win. The war never ends because mankind is being driven into extinction as a result of it.
Mankind has run out of resources to sustain itself. There are billions of people who will die if the world doesn't change. This is the driving force behind what Sheehan is trying to write about in his novels.
In addition to his science fiction work, Sheehan is also known for his stories featuring technologically advanced robots. In the books "Robot Warrior" Robot Warrior Rescue Squad," the human crew of the spacecraft encounters robots who have been left behind by their creators.
"Their primary jobs in this universe, on the other hand, are as soldiers and assassins," Sheehan said. The humans who have survived and emerged from the encounter of these advanced machines are the only ones who can get back to Earth and stop a threatening invasion.
Another one of Sheehan's science fiction and science fact works is his guide to finding a copy of "The Lost Book of Enoch." This book is a book that contains information on the story of Abraham and Isaac.
According to John Sheehan, it is a book written by the sixth-century prophet Enoch. It is not an actual book, but instead an alleged book that provides details about Enoch's vision of heaven and the heavens.
