Patriots executive expresses concerns about team's rookie players
The New England Patriots drafted wide receivers Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker in the 2024 NFL Draft, but they have not performed as expected. Vice president of player personnel, Eliot Wolf, criticized the rookie receivers for not contributing enough to the team's 3-13 record. Polk had 12 catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns, while Baker did not make a catch all season. The Patriots need to improve their offensive weapons to support rookie quarterback Drake Maye. Despite having opportunities in the upcoming NFL Draft, the team must draft and develop players better than they have in recent years to improve their performance.
