Pastaval returns for 2019!
Pastaval is back and it's bigger! No longer just a one-day event in Glasgow's southside we now have a separate day of mac and cheese fun in the city centre this May!
We have again partnered with McIntosh of Strathmore to bring our (in)famous Mac and Cheese Festival to Glasgow city centre for the first time. So all new entries this year with Pie n Brew, AdLib, Mharsanta and Van Winkle joining in. Sat 4th May will be the date to keep free. Try some mac n cheese, visit somewhere you might not have been and have some fun.

Southside is still 🙌 and this year we are partnering with My Shawlands. Last year's winner, The Butterfly and the pig South, are ready for the challenge of keeping their trophy for The Best Mac 'n' Cheese. If you want to #KeepitSouth then Sun 26th May is the date for you.
Buy your ticket online and on the day exchange it at Pastaval base for a Mac and Cheese appreciation pack. Then, using the provided map, visit the participating venues tasting some delicious mac and cheese. Scorecards are provided so that notes can be made on your true feelings about each one. Return the scorecards, marking your favourites and least favourites! We will add up the votes at the end of the journey to decide who will win this year's trophy. The winning venue will be presented with a suitably cheesy trophy to proudly display that they have been awarded the accolade of the best mac and cheese in their respective area, either Glasgow City Centre or Glasgow South (Shawlands).

Two days this year and two areas. Can you handle both?
Saturday 4th May from 12 noon until 6pm - with the winner announced at the Pastaval after party at 6:30pm at Van Winkle.
Sunday 26th May from 12 noon until 6pm - the winner announced at The Butterfly and The Pig South around 6:30pm
