Referring to his recent troubles including the court judgment related to the Easter Sunday attacks former President Maithripala Sirisena said it may be due to reactions of Akusala (wrongful deeds) in his past lives. The former President mentioned this when he called on the Chief Incumbent of the Malwathu Chapter Most Ven. Tibbotuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thera. Speaking to the media later he appreciated the Government’s move to table the IMF agreement in Parliament Sirisena said contesting to obtain power can be done when an election comes and in the meantime it was important to support moves done with the public benefit in mind.
